This Sunday the mercury rose to a spring like 51 degrees at our house. We took the opportunity to explore our woods, following deer tracks from our backyard, through our wooded winter wonderland. The tracks led us to three circular areas of packed snow nestled in a cluster of trees. Four thought the deer beds were cozy and laid in one of them long enough for me to get several pictures. Our deer have remained elusive in recent weeks, so we were glad to learn that they remain close by.
