Merry Christmas

The merriness reached fever pitch on Christmas Eve. Yesterday morning, as the boys opened their gifts under the tree we cut from our backyard, the scene was more peaceful than we expected. Their favorite gift was the pirate ship they each received from Nana and Grandpa. Together they played pirates until bedtime. Six's Teddy received a sweater, which I knit for him. There are few occasions more beautiful than the ones spent watching your children care for a special stuffy with the love and tenderness with which you treat them. Watching Six gently dress Teddy in his new sweater was a gift.
